Made by Colt's Patent Fire Arms Manufacturing Co, Hartford, Connecticut. Serial number 21094, 1881.
Used at the Australian Army's School of Infantry, Seymour, Victoria.
Physical Description
Original ejector rod replaced by crudely adapted steel rod. Six chambered long fluted cylinder, locking notches on rear cylinder face rather than outer surface, solid steel frame, steel rounded trigger guard, steel back strap, black two-piece finely chequered hard-rubber grips with rampant Colt logo in oval embossed on both sides. Half of left hand grip missing. Blade front sight, loading gate on right hand side missing. Two-line Colt address stamped on barrel. British proofmarks stamped on cylinder and under barrel at cylinder end.
