Made by John Birch, Birmingham, circa 1855. Birch active 1840-1861.
Physical Description
Barrel screwed to threaded end of cylinder pin & secured by a screw. Six chambered cylinder (chambers numbered 1 to 6), nipples at right angle to chamber, steel frame has shield to protect nipples nickel silver trigger guard, bar hammer, chequered wooden grips, nickel silver butt cap in form of lions head. Mounts engraved with scrolls.
