Made by Kennan, Dublin, circa 1800.
Physical Description
Steel side lock with sliding safety catch and hammer on R.H.side, hammer broken and top portion missing, oval steel trigger guard with pineapple extension and foliate engraving to underside, no sideplate or butt cap. Chequered grips, wooden stock extends almost to muzzle, steel ramrod tubes and wooden ramrod with brass end. Nickel alloy bladed front sight and shield shaped escutchen on back of grip.
