Summary
Percussion pepperbox revolver, cal. .376 in., five screw-off damascus steel barrels, 6.60 long, nipples in line with barrels.
Made by Gilles Mariette, Liege, Belgium, circa 1840.
Physical Description
Ring trigger and under-hammer, plain wooden grips secured by a single screw, rounded butt, steel frame, engraved on both sides and down backstrap with foliate scrolls, capping groove on right hand side of frame. Two nipples damaged, and breech plug badly burred from dry firing when barrels not in line.
