Double barrelled shotgun, 14 gauge .695. Side by side twist steel barrels 28 1/2 in. (724 mm) long. Percussion.
Made by John Prosser, London (active 1796-1860), mid 19th century.
Physical Description
Pierced platinum vent plugs under nipples, rib has two platinum bands at breech end. Back action locks, walnut half stock chequered at grip, brass tipped wooden ramrod, steel mounts finely engraved with hunting dogs and game birds.
