Percussion pepperbox revolver, cal. .350 in., six barrelled, 7.10 cm long.
No maker's name appears on the frame, barrels stamped with Birmingham proofmarks. Dated circa late 1840s.
Physical Description
Steel oval triggerguard, trigger and bar-hammer, chequered wooden grips secured by a single screw framed by a steel diamond inlay with light engraving on R.H.side, flat butt with steel butt cap, steel frame, engraved on both sides, down backstrap, on butt cap, triggerguard, and on bar-hammer with simple, crude foliate scrolls and other motifs, has a shield to protect the nipples. Barrel at muzzle end has engraved border motif.
