Summary
Two Power triodes primarily intended for telephone repeater use. Could produce nearly 18 watts under maximum rated conditions but usually operated at a much lower power level for maximum life. Equivalent to Western Electric 300A.
5 volt directly heated cathode.
Physical Description
Both valves are the same type and packed in the same style of box; the only differences between them are in the inscriptions on the valves and on the boxes. Description: Shouldered glass bulb with American type 4 pin (UX) base. A robust triode structure with a corrugated anode and a filament consisting of 4 inverted Vs is visible inside. The valve is packaged in its original cardboard carton. The valve is held in a closed fabric sleeve suspended by a four metal springs and some fabric tape supported by a wooden frame made from ½ inch square timber.
