Summary
This wax model is based on a specimen grown and presented to the museum by Charles Draper of 'Charnwood', Hazelglen in 1875. The model was made in the museum by Thomas McMillan in 1875 for the Philadelphia Centennial Exhibition of 1876.
This apple is a dessert variety and is harvested in winter. This variety was raised from the seed of Scarlet Siberian Crab, Cherry Apple, Berried or Small Fruited Crab (Pyrus Baccata).
