Summary

Percussion pistol, belt. cal. 26 bore (.562 in.). Muzzle loading, smooth bore, octagonal twist steel barrel 6 1/2 in. (165 mm) long, blade foresight, overall length 12 in. (305 mm).

Made by William Smith, Leicester Square, London, where he was active 1817-1824.

Physical Description

Side lock & hammer, platinum vent plug under nipple, oval steel trigger guard with pineapple forward extension. Wooden stock extends almost to muzzle, chequered grip, oval silver monogram plate. Steel belt hook fitted on left hand side.
