Physical Description
Muzzle loading, smooth bore, octagonal barrel 4 1/4 in. (118 mm) long, V notch backsight, nickel silver pin head foresight, overall length 9 1/8 in. (231 mm). Box lock with side hammer, oval steel trigger guard. Finely chequered wooden stock, nickel silver butt cap, oval silver monogram plate, swivel ramrod carried in grooved rib under the barrel. Mount engraved with foliate scrolls.
