Physical Description
Muzzle loading. Smooth bore, side by side barrels 5 5/8 in. (144 mm.) long, bored from a solid block & mitred on the outer edges, U notch backsight, nickel silver bead foresight, overall length length 10 5/8 in. (270 mm). Box action lock with side hammers, spur on right hand hammer broken off, oval steel trigger guard, two triggers. Chequered wooden stock, steel butt cap has cap recess, swivel ramrod; silver monogram plate. Steel mounts engraved with foliate scrolls.
