Summary
Percussion blunderbuss, cal. 36mm at muzzle, brass smooth bore bellmouthed round barrel with decorative band and end of foreend, 41.00cm long. Made in Great Britain, early 19th century.
Physical Description
Steel lockplate and hammer with light foliate engraving, foliate engraving to steel barrel tang, brass oval triggerguard with finial extensions and engraving, no sideplate, brass butt plate with engraving and vacant nickel silver escutcheon behind tang. Barrel secured by two barrel pins, one brass ramrod tube, steel tipped wooden ramrod. Wooden stock with chequering at wrist extends almost to muzzle.
