This was used to hold and measure quantities of gunpowder or lead shot.
1 dram is approximately 1.8g. 1 ounce is approximately 28g.
Acquired by Museum Victoria in 1943.

It has a flat slide calibrated on one side from 0 to 5 drams of powder, and on the other from 0 to 2 ounces of shot.
