Converted from flintlock about 1825.
Physical Description
Octagonal smooth bore barrel, twist steel. Barrel length. 238 mm. Gold breech band, platinum vent plug, side hammer with safety bolt, hair trigger. Oval trigger guard with spun and engraved pineapple extension v. notch rear sight set on tang, pin head foresight let into the barrel. Engraved mounts, wooden ramrod. Walnut stock with fish tail butt, finely chequered grip. Cased with accessories, including pouch, cloth, nipple key, tin of caps, ramrod.
