East India Company pistol, a variant of the New Land Pattern Service pistol. Made in England, 1813.
Physical Description
Steel side lock and hammer on R.H.side, oval brass trigger guard with plain extensions, brass plain sideplate and butt cap. Wooden stock extends almost to muzzle and has a brass cap, brass ramrod tube and steel swivel ramrod. Stocked chipped behind lockplate on R.H.side and piece missing, appears to have been repaired previously, fine cracking between sideplate screw and barrel channel on L.H.side.
