Physical Description
Steel side lock and hammer on R.H.side, oval brass trigger guard with plain extensions, no sideplate or butt cap. Chequered grips, wooden stock extends to muzzle, steel ramrod tube and horn ramrod. Chequering appears to have been undertaken after the brass triggerguard had been installed, hence the extended cuts into the edges of the triggerguard. No proofmarks visible on upper surfaces of barrel. British military, but not of a standard pattern.
