Wooden mantel or shelf clock manufactured by the Ansonia Brass Company, Ansonia, Connecticut, USA. The clock was made between 1850, when the company commenced making clocks, and 1854, when the Ansonia factory was destroyed by fire.
Physical Description
Rectangular wooden veneer case, square dial with roman numerals. Mirror in lower half of door. Painted white dial with flower design in corners. Striking clock. Weight driven; anchor escapement. Winding key and pendulum bob in case.
