Army camp newsletter associated with Hurdcott Army Camp, Salisbury, England, during World War I. Cover bears an illustration of an Australian serviceman wearing an arm band inscribed 'RMP'. The newsletter contains articles, stories, illustrations, advertisements, etc.
The Hurdcott Herald was established and edited by journalist Glen William Warnecke. He had been wounded in the back in France in late 1916, and recuperated at Hurdcott Army Camp. He returned to Australia in May 1918 and was discharged medically unfit.
