Summary

Radiolette model 27 receiver, mantel pattern, manufactured by Amalgamated Wireless (Australasia) Ltd, released in 1934. Like all radios of this period, this receiver used valves, in this case, numbering five. Valves used filaments, which glowed red hot so it was necessary to protect the other components. This set had five valves.
