Summary

Model of the joint UK- Australian developed Malkara anti-armour guided surface to surface missile. Development and production of Malkara and its associated wire guidance system was mostly carried out by the Government Aircraft Factories at Fishermans Bend, Melbourne. The British Army adopted Malkara as its standard anti-tank missile and 920 were supplied in the 1960s. It was launched from a purpose-built Humber Hornet armoured vehicle with a roof-mounted twin launcher and two reloads.
