Summary
Horse brass depicting a sailing ship in full sail through five crests of waves in front of bow. The border is a series of eleven waves moving clockwise around the ship. Type: cast brass. Comments: item has the remains of two studs on back, possibly from the casting process. Date: 1825-1939.
This type of brass was found in the harness of horses used for dockside transport.
