Horse brass: Bull's head with crenate border. Type: cast brass. Date: 1825-1939.
Bulls sybolize irrisistable strength and vitality, and male impulsiveness. In the Celtic traditions bulls were sacrifical rites associated with royalty and used as metaphors for war. (See 'The Pengiun Dictionary of Symbols')
