Summary
Horse brass depicting a dove with olive branch in its beak, crenate border with eight loaf- shaped holes. Type: cast brass. Comments: item has the remains of two studs on back, possibly from the casting process. Date: 1825-1939.
The dove holding the olive leaf represents the dove that was on Noah's ark which Noah released and when it returned, brought with it the first sign of land in forty days and forty nights, an olive branch.
