Summary
R. C. A. Type 1802 microprocessor chip, uses CMOS (complementary metal oxide semiconductor) technology, in original bubble pack. This was a very early multipurpose microcomputer CPU chip. It had 16 16-bit registers, providing much more flexible operation than other and later 8-bit chips. Made by R. C. A. in the United States of America in 1976.
Physical Description
40 Pin device, with pins on a 2.54mm pitch. 20 pins down each side of a ceramic package. Device is in original plastic bubble shipping packaging.
