This wax model was based on a specimen grown and presented to the museum by the Horticultural Society of Victoria from their gardens at Burnley, 1879. The model maker was not recorded.
Synonyms: Red Warrior. Yates Winter. This apple is a dessert variety and is harvested in late winter. This variety was named after James Yates of 'Woodville' near Salcombe, Devon, England.
