Summary
This wax model is based on a specimen grown and presented to the museum by the Horticultural Society of Victoria from their gardens at Burnley, 1880. The model was made in the museum. The model maker was not recorded.
This apple is a dessert variety and is harvested in autumn. This variety originated with Mr. Hale at Swan Pool near Worcester, England. Distributed by Richard Smith & Co., Worcester in 1874. It is a seedling of Devonshire Quarrenden.
