Summary
This wax model is based on a specimen grown and presented to the museum by King & Son, Fyansford, Geelong in 1875. This model was made by museum artist Thomas McMillan in 1875 for display at the 1876 Centennial International Exhibition, Philadelphia.
Synonyms: Pomme Regelans, Calville d'Angleterre. The Cornish Gilliflower is a dessert apple harvested in autumn-winter. The variety originated in Cornwall, England, in about 1800. This variety is not in the 1974 edition of Ikin's Listing of Fruits.
