Letter from A. L. Gould, Acting Deputy Commissioner of the Commonwealth of Australia Repatriation Department, to Mr. N. G. Straker, Secretary R.S.S. & A.I.L.A. (later the Returned and Services League), Kew, 17 June 1954.
The letter concerns an application by Mr A . R. Davidson (V 148056) application for the acceptance of a medical condition by the Department. The letter advises that the application for the acceptance of 'Sarcoidosis of the Lung' is receiving attention, but as Mr Davidson is receiving inpatient treatment for the condition further action by the Department is not possible until he is discharged.
A hand-written note at the bottom of the letter adds that Mr Davidson died on 8 August 1954.
