Summary
Model of a bullock-drawn cart with fabric hood of a type used in Ceylon (now Sri Lanka). The model was exhibited in the Ceylon Court at the Melbourne International Exhibition with the catalogue number. 664. The MIE was held in the (Royal) Exhibition Building from 1 October 1880 - 30 April 1881. At the close of the exhibition, a number of objects were gifted to the museum by commissioners and exhibitors. It is believed that this model was gifted by exhibitor Harmanis Dias.
