Model of a Miner's 'Board Tom' and ripple board for treating auriferous alluvium. It was made at the Industrial & Technological Museum by A.H. Sell in 1926. Sell was a carpenter temporarily employed by the Museum.

Model Scale is 1:8. On wooden platform there is a trough which widens as it slopes down towards a board with several ridges in it.
