Summary
This wax model was based on a specimen grown by the Horticultural Society of Victoria at their Burnley Gardens and the model was presented by the National Agricultural Society in 1874 after the specimen was exhibited at the National Agricultural Society's show, April 3-5, 1873. The model was made in the museum by Thomas McMillan in 1873 for the National Agricultural Society.
Synonyms: Blenheim Orange, Blenheim Pippin, Woodstock, Northwick Pippin, Kempster's Pippin. This apple is a cooking and dessert variety and is harvested in autumn-winter.
