Summary
This wax model is based on a specimen grown by the Horticultural Society of Victoria at their Burnley Gardens and the model presented to the museum by the National Agricultural Society after the specimen was exhibited at the National Agricultural Society's Show, 3-5 April 1873. The model was made in the museum. The model maker was not recorded. Duplicate Reg Item 013534.
Synonyms: Lord Nelson of the Colony, Nelson's Codlin, Nelson, Backhouse's Lord Nelson, Shepherd's Fame. This apple is a cooking variety and is harvested in early summer.
