Summary

Working Model of King & Howland's Patent Spiral Lift Stamp Battery which was granted Victorian patent (No 26:8:1858) in 1858. It features 12 iron stamps which rotate on lifting and falling by action of the spiral lift on the tappets. The model was made by O. Bobardt between 1858 and 1871.

Physical Description

Model of a machine powered by a system of gears and tappets. The handle at the top allowed the model to be demonstrated.
