Summary

Controlled half wave rectifier (Ignitron). Mercury arc device used for the control of large AC currents in welders, magnetisers and similar equipment and as a controlled rectifier. Manufacturer: General Electric, USA

Physical Description

Cylindrial stainless steel tube with copper bar connector and light lead at one end and heavy copper braid lead at the other. Tube has input and output water connections. Thick glass tube is enclosed by the metal tube.
