Summary
Wax model of a Jonathan appel based on a specimen presented to the museum by the Department of Agriculture of Victoria. The model was made in the museum by Gwenda Bickford circa 1940s to 1950s.
The model depicts a disease known as Jonathan Spot which is caused by under- or over- maturity at picking, or too long in storage.
