This wax model is based on a specimen presented to the museum by the Department of Agriculture of Victoria. The model was made in the museum by Joy Dickins, 6 June 1949.
Synonyms: Red Warrior, Yates Winter. This apple is a dessert variety and is harvested in late winter. This variety was named after James Yates of 'Woodville' near Salcombe, Devon, England.
Physical Description
Wax model of an apple with a short stem, painted dark red. The apple has grey spots and grey-brown scruff at the top.
