Pair of New Zealand brass shoulder titles 'NZ'. From uniform worn by Staff Sergeant W. F. Doubleday (#15/145 A), World War I, 1914-1918.
William Francis Doubleday was 32-year-old commerical traveller when he enlisted with the N.Z.E.F. on 31 August 1914. He served with the Army Services Corp before he was discharged as 'no longer fit for service' due to illness or injury on 16 October 1916. His discharge appears to have been due to influenza.
