Summary
Osborne Model 1 Portable Computer. The computer is contained within a carrying case, the detachable front cover of which contains the keyboard. Detaching the keyboard exposes twin 5.25 inch disk drives, a monitor screen and various controls and connectors. The Osborne 1 used the CP/M operating system.
Physical Description
Moulded cream-coloured plastic case with detachable front containing a QWERTY keyboard and a numeric keypad. The front of the computer itself is black with a central monitor screen. On each side of the screen is a horizontal 5.25 inch disk drive. Beneath the disk drives and the screen are various controls and connectors. The keyboard is connected to the computer by a short ribbon cable plugging into a centrlal socket beneath the monitor screen. A carrying handle is attached to the rear of the computer case.
