Summary
This Volkswagen 1200 sedan chassis and air-cooled engine was donated to the Museum by Volkswagen (Australasia) Pty Ltd in 1965. It has been modified with 'cut-away' sections by Vivian Expositions in Clifton Hill. This 'sectioned-unit' chassis was prepared for promotional use in motor shows and has an electric motor mounted underneath to turn over the engine.
