Summary

SC/MP microprocessor development system.

Comprises SC/MP microprocessor chip, read only memory (ROM), random access memory (RAM) and input- output logical function on board with facility for plug in boards, hexadecimal keypad, toggle switches to enable single step program debugging, light emitting diode (led) output, all mounted on box containing mains operated power supply.

Used for initial testing of hardware and software configurations in the early days of microprocessors. The kit can be used to build a microprocessor system. The system can be used for a variety of applications, for example, to control external lights or photographic lights, lawnsprinkler systems and security devices,

The development system is accompanied by extensive documentation on early operating systems, CP/M and CP-86, plus blank plug in boards for hardware lashups and electrically programmable read only memory (EPROM) board.

Made by National Semiconductor Corporation in the United States of America about 1976.
