Summary

Wax model of a Queensland Fruit Fly (Dacus tryoni (trypetidae)) it accompaines a wax model of a pear showing marks caused by stings of the Queensland fruit fly. This wax model was based on a specimen presented to the museum by the Department of Agriculture Victoria in 1960. It was made in the museum by model maker Ruth Adams in August 1960.

Light brown and yellow spotted wax model of insect with wings, six legs and thorax curled under with sting showing.
