Physical Description
Six iron prongs attached to brass bar with short shaft. Thread at base of shaft. Prongs are embedded in block of wood for safe storage.
Significance
Statement of Significance: This is an interesting artefact from the inter-war era, representing the whaling research undertaken by George Rayner, and the early economic exploitation of the Antarctic region.
