Home-made (home-brew) microprocessor computer.

The computer was initially built to a design published in 1976 "Popular Electronics"; "ELF", based on the R. C. A. COSMAC 1802 microprocessor chip. The computer rebuilt many times over the period 1976 to 1982, for example, it was expanded to include video output, QWERTY keyboard, cassette tape program storage and expanded memory. The system was entirely built by the donor, who also designed the latter stages, and re-named the system to "Alfred". The donor/maker subsequently became Curator of Electronics at the Science Museum of Victoria.
