Summary
Australian Troop Transport four-page newsletter 'The Dixie', sub-titled 'No.1 H.M. Transport A7 at Sea', issue 1 January 1917 - 'Published for Troops on Board'.
The newsletter's editorial notes that the ship lacked a printing press and thus the issue was produced using a typewriter (lent by Mr Franks of the Salvation Army) and a hectograph duplicating device possessed by Mr Davey, the Chief Stormeman. It was printed by Cape Times Limited, Cape Town.

Single A3 sheet folded in half to form four page newsletter, text typewritten on all faces in black ink. Handwriting in pencil at top righthand corner of front face.
