Typewriter of the type-bar class manufactured by the Bar-Lock Typewriter Co., of Nottingham, England.
This typewriter is a front-strike machine in which each type-bar strikes the front of the platen, allowing the typed characters to be clearly visible to the operator. The platen on this machine is extra wide to accomodate wide sheets of paper.
Physical Description
Crackle finish metal frame. Front strike machine, with typebars in horizontal semicircular basket. Ribbon carried between spools with vertical axes. Extra-wide platen.
