Summary

I.B.M. Displaywriter computer system for word processing. Consists of electronics module (with CPU), separate QWERTY keyboard, diskette unit, monochrome visual display unit, six 8-inch floppy system discs and two instruction and reference manuals. With the addition of a printer (not included), this became a stand-alone word processing system of (for its time) considerable sophistication. The keyboard was made in Canada, the visual display unit in Japan, and the rest of the system in the USA, by or for International Business Machines (I.B.M.) in about 1978. Note the specialised word processing keys on the keyboard. Also note the limited capacity of the 8-inch disks.
