Marked as made by Parkes, London, but more likely to have been made by Bejamin Parkes (active 1829-1852) or Isiah Parkes (active 1853-1900), both of Birmingham.
Physical Description
Screw off, smooth bore, octagonal barrels 4 in. (401 mm.) Long, U notch backsight. Nickel silver bead foresight. Overall length 8 5/8 in. (219 mm.). Nickel silver lock box engraved with foliate scrolls, side hammer, oval steel trigger guard. Finely chequered stock terminates in round butt, silver monogram plate.
