Summary
Air raid siren, World War II, comprising a compressor and two horns. No identifying manufacturer's marks. It was probably made by the Victorian Railways Workshop.
The siren was installed in the Victorian Railways Jolimont workshops during the war, it remained in place until in 1993, when it was removed prior to planned demolition of buildings. Comprises compressor and two horns.
Physical Description
Cast metal compressor with two long metal horns, which are separate. The compressor has a round body, with two foot plates, each with two fastening holes, for attaching to a surface.
