Summary

Astor '3-in-1' radiogram, comprising stereophonic record player, television receiver and am radio receiver, model R51G. It was made by Astor, a division of Electronic Industries Limited, in Melbourne, about 1966, and was designed by employee Hedley Sanders (1902-1993). The cabinet was made by Gainsborough.

Physical Description

Radiogram comprising record player, television and radio receiver, as well as a record storage compartment, housed in rectangular console cabinet of polished wood on four short legs. Television receiver has 25 inch (diagonal measurement) monochrome screen. Valve circuit. Turret tuner. Garrard model 1000 four-speed record player and changer. Single-band am radio tuner with Australian stations marked.
