Summary
Altair model 8800 microcomputer. Very early microprocessor (8080) based computer with front-panel paddle switches for input and light emitting diodes (LEDs) for output, with home-made power supply in separate case. Made by MITS Corporation in the United States of America about 1975 or 1976.
Physical Description
Computer console consists of front control panel and S-100 backplane only - no boards, with cable connector The homemade computer power supply module is a rectangular metal box; roughly the same size as the computer console.
